Mrs Mary Archibald
Mary Archibald is the Director of Operations at the Evelyn Cambridge Surgical Training Centre, and the Medical Education/Cambridge Simulation Centre Manager at Cambridge University Hospitals Foundation Trust (CUHFT). Mary successfully worked with the senior management teams in establishing the Cambridge Simulation Centre and the Evelyn Cambridge Surgical Training Centre. Mary has an MBA and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Management, and is a highly experienced and skilled manager, and successfully leads a multi-professional team of health professionals.
In her role as Medical Education/Simulation Centre Manager of the Postgraduate Medical Centre (PGMC) at CUHFT, Mary oversees the delivery of over 350 days of education per year, including large international conferences and hands-on practical skills courses for senior consultants. The portfolio of the PGMC education includes educational programmes for: GPs, Dentists, Nurses, Surgeons, Physicians, Paediatricians, Foundation Doctors and Doctors in Training. The PGMC hosts Royal College exams on behalf of CUHFT, and Mary manages the team to ensure the successful delivery of these high profile exams.
Prior to working at CUHFT Mary worked at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary organising large international events and also the University of Edinburgh co-ordinating clinical attachments for overseas doctors who were in the UK preparing for their Royal College exams.
