Mrs Julie Graham
As Manager of the Centre, it is Julie’s role to ensure the quality management systems required to maintain our HTA Licence, and to organise the Centre for the use of companies and individuals who choose to use our facility for education and research.
Julie’s work involves day-to-day management of the Centre, including updating all tissue records from their original procurement to final disposal, and ensuring a robust audit trail of all of the material we use.
Julie leads the implementation of the programme management of courses and research projects, ensuring the smooth running of these events for faculty, delegates and company personnel. As such she is also the first point of contact when it comes to planning courses and events, working closely with colleagues at the Centre to ensure satisfaction with all aspects of the service we provide.
Julie started work in Addenbrooke’s Postgraduate Medical Centre in 1999, having previously worked in finance and banking for 15 years. Her background in the city developed her eye for detail and communication skills, as well as her organisational ability. This skill mix was ideal for a career in medical education, and the PGMC also offered the opportunity to widen her scope to include marketing and project management.
Julie was offered the positon to manage the Evelyn Cambridge Surgical Training Centre in 2013, and leapt at the chance to put in place the systems that would be required to meet the HTA requirements and the infrastructure needed to make the Centre operational.
